 I design and make jewellery and have a particular interest in working with beads and making personalised pieces with resin and metal stamps. I am in recovery from a long standing mental health problem and hope to encourage and inspire others on the journey to health and freedom through the pieces I create.

I try to surround myself with people and things that are positive and reflect hope, truth, beauty and light. I particularly enjoy the process of creating custom jewellery because through wearing it I have a visual reminder and am encouraged to stay mindful and appreciate the positive.

My vision and goals include creating pieces of jewellery that use affirmative words and compassionate images, so as to help people feel content and special. In turn I hope this helps to promote positive body image and increase self-confidence.

Magnolia Restrepo Jewellery

My Grandma bought me a locket for my birthday from the super talented Magnolia. Magnolia and I met up and designed this one-off piece and I am thrilled with it. The detail and design is incredible and I wear it proudly.

 Grandma loved the locket and suggested we get something made for Lottie. I thought long and hard and then decided Lottie's birth flower (chrysanthemum) and birth stone (yellow topaz) would be amazing. Magnolia created this and I cried when I saw it as it's even better than I imagined it could ever be. Thank you Magnolia. We will treasure them forever.

Lottie's Christening

Lottie was very lucky to be able to be christened by her Granddad and it was such a beautiful day.

A few recent makes

I went to Handpicked Hall in Leeds with Lottie and Nanna the other day. We learnt how to make a bead dragonfly! I was really interested in this because I've recently done a jewellery making course and enjoyed it. I had a go at making another dragonfly when I got home and then turned it into a necklace! Just remind me to keep Lottie away from it! I went out and bought some more wire today and intend on making a few different things similar to this. 

I made this jewellery set to say thank you to my friend (whose a photographer) who kindly took pictures for us at Lottie's Christening. As you can see I have bought all the basic findings and some lovely beads to keep me busy when Lottie has a cat nap! I'm glad I have a new hobby that I can really get into at my own pace and play with lots of colourful and pretty things!

Ah and this. I have written to pen friends recently and spoke about this! I feel like shouting from the rooftops "I made a book!". The lovely Kate Bowles did a great bookbinding workshop so I went along. It took all day. I didn't find it easy but I am so pleased I did it and I'm really looking after it with lots of jewellery making notes!

A bit of creative gossip!

 In some of the letters I've sent out today I've spoke about recent crafts so I thought I'd add some photos for you. I've done a couple of craft fairs recently which were great fun. Lottie came along too and everyone loves talking to her!

 Lots of Easter treats!

 Has anyone else been using washi tape in projects recently? I'd love to see if so! I was really happy the other day when I found rolls and rolls of washi tape for only £1. It's about time that happened! I've spent years buying it from abroad. Although now it is more readily available in the UK but still quite expensive normally.

 I washi taped these letters for Lottie's room.

 I'm in the process of making fabulous decorations for Lottie's baptism in June. We went to this cute cafe (which is SO my taste!) to get some more inspiration...

 The cream tea happened to be amazing too! Freshly baked whilst you wait scones.

 I've also had this owl made for Lottie because she has fallen in love with an old and faded owl bag we have and talks to it! I thought she'd rather have her own fabulous cushion instead. I chose the material myself in the colours she likes.

 This is a banner that's now in her room.

 And these woodland creatures are going to be hung up for her too.
